The Best is Yet to be

Hopeful beginnings

In August 2014, several things began to happen.

God connected people unknown to me saying: “God has laid it upon my heart to support you.” O faithful God! One important connection is Alice Andrew from Chennai. She’s passionate to empower women, has skills to develop our magazine business, has fantastic ideas which we hope to implement in the months ahead.

She is now our honorary Managing Editor, and will share her heart in the Last Page of Vashti Magazine, Sep-Oct 2014 issue.

At our August 4th meeting with Vashti friends, several changes were suggested, which we are implementing in the issue coming up in September. It is up and getting ready for online subscriptions.

NEW AND  IMPROVED

Magazine will now be only 40 pages. We hope to make it more meaningful and relevant. We will address problems we often face, with life stories of those who have learned to overcome them. We will also strive to find solutions for those who write to us. Women

often suffer in silence. They belong to the neglected group of hurting women, with no one to help them through their pain. We help them to break that mould by opening up to share their deep wounds, with someone who cares and understands, so that they can find inner healing and be set free, by the healing love of Jesus.

Abuse of Women: This issue addresses “Abuse of Women” over which there is much hue and

cry. Two Counsellors write on ‘Forms of Abuse’. A Pastor writes on  ‘The Biblical Perspective on Abuse’,  and we also hear how few Christian leaders respond to this. We also bring you a small appealing presentation,  at a Church,  on Women’s Day,  on “Voices Behind the Veils”. We continue with other interesting Lifestyle articles on Education, Health, Food, Tips and more.

Hear the words of Jesus in John 10:10, “The thief comes only to steal and kill destroy;

I have come that they may have Life, and have it to the full.”

If you ask Him, Jesus can break all and make your life full and free!
