He will show you things you cannot see with your limited perspective
Iam reminded of a parade of colourful floats and lively dances. Hundreds of people crowded together, as they lined the streets. The band came around the corner. The sound of music and the drums reached my ears. Then, right in front of me, I noticed a little girl trying in vain to push her way to the front to get a better view. She jumped up and down. She stood on tiptoe, trying to peek between the people who stood in front of her. In frustration, she called out: ‘Daddy, I can’t see! I want to see more!’ A tall broad shouldered man just a short distance away, reached down and lovingly lifted her up and perched her on his shoulders. She clapped her hands with joy. Now she could enjoy a full view of the parade.
We celebrated Mother’s Day, when mothers are specially honoured and appreciated for all their loving services and sacrifices they have done for the family. However after the glamour of the day, perhaps you are trapped again into a dull, meaningless routine. Perhaps you too are stretching for a better view. There are many obstacles perhaps that keep you down. Perhaps fears and anxieties have gripped you, and drained you of hope and energy!
If you are ‘stretching for a better view’ and feel you cannot handle the obstacles, and feeling low, may these articles here touch your spirits with encouragement and hope. God will reach down to you immediately, if you ask him, and lift you up tenderly into his arms. He will show you things you cannot see with your limited perspective.Hopefully, you will be strengthend and inspired to persevere.
And yes, this better view from God’s perspective is not just about ourselves! The community that is on God’s heart also becomes our responsibility. We have received much-not just to spend on ourselves, but to help others less fortunate than us. Hear the heartrending cries of “ Voices Behind the Veils”. Reach out to others and give, so as to make their lives a little more happy, healthy-where you are. Uplifting them through education and health- care is equally important.
We are not given a good life or a bad life. We are given life. It is up to us to make it good or bad.
What is it going to be?Here through the articles in this magazine we seek to bring you ideas for a better life through experiences of others like us.
